A few questions -
How much does your farrier charge for a set of 4 shoes and just a trim (how much time is spent on the trim)?
When your farrier puts his/her prices up how much do they go up by? Mine has just put his prices up and would just like to compare to others.

My boy has Natural Balance shoes which cost me £70 per set. When he had "normal" shoes it was £65 per set, £60 for a refit. I think he charges £20 per horse for a just a trim (Could be £25) I think this is about average for my area. He does keep threatening to put his prices up which I'm dreading tbh but I can understand, as for him even just the cost of travelling around has gone up with petrol prices as they are :-(

Full set - £63
Latural extentions - £100
Wedeges - £85
Depends on what shoe's my mare is in have had all these 3 this year.

Trim costs me £15 per pony and i have 3 that are done, spents i guess 10 mins on each one. If 4 are being done hes with me a good hour at least.

Mine cost me £40 for a set of 4, £10 for a trim, he spends a good half an hour on all 4 feet, does a fab job, and he also costs £1 for each stud hole [=

Mine charges £20 for a trim which was fine for a big horse but I did feel a bit ripped off for a sec a pony who took 10 mins :(

£80 full set, inc road nails, filler etc - takes about an hour as he is v careful with getting balance & support totally right as mare has had some probs. Trim is £20, takes about 10 min as horse pretty much self trims but I like him to take a look and put a roll on so if there were any probs it would be picked up quickly. We are south glos. There are cheaper farriers, but he is excellent so I won't be cutting costs here!

My farriers prices are similar to others then £50 for a set of shoes and £15 for a trim which takes 5minutes.
He recently put all his prices up by £5, the above are his new prices.

I have a remedial farrier but he only charges £20 a trim and £65 a set.

Trim only takes 5 mins!!!

Last farrier only charged £10 for a trim but he was doing 6 other horses so just added lad on at the end.
