Can anyone recommend a good farrier in South Lincs/N Cambs - Holbeach/Spalding/Boston/K Lynn/Wisbech area

Got to be good with babies

the guy who does mine is good with the babies, calm and sensible with them, not daft if they have a moment (as mine have in the past), and i have NEVER seen him get angry with them at all, including when kicked or pulled around (oops). he has done mine for a few years and they're both very good with farrier now, not at all worried about any of it.
he's called Rob Reeves, and does a very good job. he's from KL but does quite a few over this way. number is 07765 973889.

babies?

oh, you mean baby horses...

K uses the young guy (rob?- something like that) and apparently he's very good (i've heard that from quite a few people, even the ones that refuse to use him). but i've also heard strange stories about his personal life... (yard gossip eh?)

My other friend uses David Sanderson, i met him once, he seemed nice, and very very patient. So i think he'd be good with babies. But, no idea what he's like as a farrier... he said he'd come out to me though for my one-and-a-half trims so i've booked him and i guess i'll find out.

sorry, i'm no help...

now now, i think we ought to leave R's personal life out of this, i think he can be a very naughty boy (i know his mum quite well and she's told me all about him!)

i think some people don't like him because he's young and a bit full of himself, but i cannot criticise his work or his handling of any of my horses at any time - he knows when to be kind and patient and when to be firm, unlike some farriers imho.
one of my youngsters, Ellie, had terrible feet when i got her and he has taken ages getting them just right, they now look fantastic.

i've never heard anything bad about his farrier-ing skills. and he was very good when he did raff. and actually, very nice and friendly. i think being a young (and slightly cocky) farrier just gets tongues wagging overtime...
