farrier search for very fussy horse in hertfordshire

Hello! firstly a quick hello to introduce mysef as I've never posted on here before.... I own a six year old Akhal Teke mare who is pretty tough to shoe and I am looking for a VERY patient farrier

to get her used to the process... (she was previously barefoot). She is stabled in Hertfordshire/greater London and I'm really desperate to find someone so any recommendations would be gratefully received.... thanks!

Cannot recommend a Farrier, but you have a rare one there

.... I bet she is lovely .... I knew a Stallion called Gocklen (sp)

hello- thanks eaglestone, she is lovely (even if I say so myself!) I brought her back from Russia with me when I moved back last year....
Jen1 I am on the herts/london border, between totteridge/edgware...

Prob too far out for my farrier then as we are more Uxbridge/Watford area. Have you looked on the Gov web site there's a section on registered farriers google it.

have done but would really rather go with word of mouth recommendations... I may well be a bit too far for yours although there are a few people looking for another farrier at my yard so it wouldn't be just for one horse... If he ever mentions to you that he goes out that way do pass on his number!

We found our farrier from there and i don't have any complaints about him you just need to pick and choose which ones you ring and explain you situation to them
