Hi, I,m looking to set up myself as a farrier. Just wondering about what areas are short on farriers.
I qualified 2years ago and i'm now looking to get set up for myself. I was thinking of maybe heading to the scottish borders. Is there a need for farriers there?

Hope you guys can help.

Hi. A quick google would show you are already in business around the borders, no? Dont go to Aberdeenshire, I'm headed that way!

So you are looking to head for the borders or you are already there?

Not that I will be changing my farrier, even if he did call Fany a elephant today! But Cumbria is short of them and property is good value up here as well. So come up here, I am sure you will be appreciated.:D

Pretty much every where is short of good farriers, im in hereford and my farrier only tends to do big yards, and the odd long standing client with one or two horses. But getting him to come out is like mission impossible, you have to leave the whole day free and even then he may not be able to make, very annoying but he's the best farrier around so worth the messing around every 5weeks. But if you were as good then i would change (if your single and good looking ;) )
