i have for the second time in as many weeks sat in freezing cold
temps for over 2hrs (each time)
waiting for my farrier

enough is enough i can take no more
does anyonee know of a reliable farrier who will come out
( 3 horses in total )
my new mare urgently needs doing :{

just purchased new mare but id hazard a guess shes about 4 weeks overdue :{
and im desperate to start riding her ......

Alan Coe, he is fantastic, has never ever let me know in 4 years. His number is 07880 726344, if you ring him and leave a message tell him Nikola gave you his number. Good luck, out of curiousity the farrier who's let you down doesn't have the initials DT does he??
 
These farriers are a law unto themselves at the moment it seems - my friend and I were only discussing this today - her horse threw a shoe last week, her farrier keeps promising he'll come each day then doesn't turn up.

A month or more ago I had farrier booked, he text me about half hour after he was due to say he couldn't get there - so I rang him and begged as mare's shoes were hanging off - he said he'd pop down sometime (I had to leave her in for the next few days) and he'd take them off - and he literally just took them off left her with the nail holes etc didnt even given them a trim and it took him three days to turn up to do that - I am soooo miffed at the mo but finding it really hard to find someone else.
 
I am so lucky with mine, I have one of the few good ones. He never lets me down, on Christmas Eve year before last my girl threw a shoe, he had finished and packed up for Christmas but he let me take her over to him and he put her shoe back on in his back garden!!! He's also been down my yard, got my girl in and put a shoe back on and turned her back out for me if she's lost one.
 
Actually DT has done as much for many of his loyal customers - I know I have had them on my drive 30 mins before we were to depart on holiday on 2 occaisions and many an early moring on the way to a show. unfortunately DT is so popular it can impinge on his timekeeping!!
