Hi there my husbands a farrier who works throughout east sussex and the kent borders. He works well with young and nervous horses and specialises with corrective work. I was wondering where people think the best place to advertise is?? thanks:)

Put up adverts in local tack shops and equestrian centers, even equine colleges.

Word of mouth is good, so be flexible and do the urgent shoeings or lost shoes, this will build up your client list then you can afford to be more picky and choosy about the hours!

thanks thats what i told him, but he dont listen, he advertises in the friday ad and wealden ad. but i said to put up leaflets in vets, tack shops etc too. he has some good customers but could def do with more so he's not under my feet at home! lol xx

I would do what all good wives do in this situation, ignore him and go and put up the ads yourself!
If good with young horses he, [by which I mean you] should get in touch with studs and racing yards.
I have always got a farrier by word of mouth, as they need to be doing several horses at one yard.
