Sad i know but i am rather upset that iv lost my farrier, I havent used him for about 6months due to me moving my horses and he doesnt like to travel out, but iv now moved them 2mins away from his is base but he still wont come out and see me

i would take them to him which iv always done but my mare has a foal at foot, On the plus note his son has taken me on

He had LOADS of people come to him, he is in his 60's so stopped travelling a few years ago hoping to slow down a bit but everyone missed him so started going to him

Ah - I see! I used to know a farrier with a similar set-up - semi retired but still did a few horses as long as they were brought to him! Can't blame them really - shoeing is hard physical work so makes sense to take it easy when they get older.
