Some of you may remember the nightmare I had with my farrier a few months back, my horse threw a shoe and he said he couldn't come out for 3 weeks, and I'd been unhappy about his attitude towards my young horse.
So, I decided to look for another farrier. I tried in excess of 15 farriers with no luck, until (when I had reached despairing point) one rang me back. So he came and shod my horse, great.
I didn't change farrier for my pony for various reasons, but her farrier STILL hasn't been, we arrange a date, then he cancels, or we can't get hold of him. It has now been nearly months since my pony was shod, and it's just awful! We haven't been able to get anyone out because they're so busy, I feel like an awful neglectful owner with a pony with feet in that state! Luckily my farrier is coming this week and has agreed to do my pony too.
Sorry just needed a rant, I think it's completely unacceptable, my mare is old and very arthritic, and the last thing she needs is overgrown feet!
farriers!
