I am going to need a very good farrier for my new horse, he is good as gold to shoe and hot shoe.
If you would please PM me details of any so I can have one arranged ready.

Also...
If you could recommend a vet to me, he is up to date with his jabs, but I'd like him to be registered to one from day one.

Thank you.

I will be stabled in Stanway area.

Hi the farrier I use is John Simpson, you'll find his details on the farrier register. He is based in Great Dunmow so should be ok for Colchester. I'm really pleased with him, he's greatly improved George's low heeled huge hooves and he is a lovely guy to boot. Always on time, always answers your calls and text - a godsend :)

The vets I use are Blaircourt based in South Woodham Ferrars, so maybe a little to far away, but again I'm very happy with them.

My first advice would be to check with the YO as to which farriers go into the yard. My hubby is a farrier, whom I would readily recommend. I am not touting for work as he could work 7 days a week if I let him!
I would be happy to advise on which to use if you get other nanes. Recommendation is of course best :)

Catley Cross are excellent vets as are Paton and Lee at Witham.

I second that recommendation if he comes to your yard - definitely the best farrier in the Colchester area!

I use Paton & Lee and have always been very happy with them.

If you want recommendations for an equine physio and dentist please send me a PM.
