Farringtons Saddles experiences good or bad?

Ah dammit if it was after Christmas and I had my money saved up i would have asked for more information as that's exactly what I'm looking for for one of mine.
In a gp or dressage though not wh.

It is possible for gullets to be too wide, 5 fingers will be too wide for most horses, even those that need very wide tree angles and a hoop tree (not met a Connie yet that needs a true hoop tree IMO), if you feel for he width of the spine of most Connies they are between 3 and 4 fingers. If you go too wide the panel can collapse around the spine, cause muscle soreness and inevitably overall the panel will be narrower as you can't just make the outside of the saddle wider to compensate.
 
Then there's the "specialist companies" that flog you saddles that are far too long and the wrong sort of tree for your horse so actually couldn't ever fit regardless of the gullet width.

I have a horse with a particularly wide spine, that's why I asked. These saddles look well worth a try for him, and I'm getting quite good at fitting my own saddles now since the "professionals" have been so helpful at dumping things that certainly don't fit, on my horses.
 
I bit the bullet had a new Farrington fitted for him and we both love it - a lot . The company is still in business and still making saddles and they are not too expensive , I paid just over 1 k fitted and delivered and that includes rebalance when needed. I am a Very happy customer and I cannot believe the difference a saddle can make!!!
 
My daughters loan horse has one and she really likes it and she's bit of a saddle snob ;)
Hers I'd say is fairly old but still looks nice cleaned up and is still in very good condition.
