Daisy's spring wind appears to have started already. She is really farting alot and I worry that that amount of gas can't be comfortable for her.

Her last owner had her on garlic but said that it didn't really work.

What would you try?

I'd be interested in anything that may work too. I won't ride my cobbie through the village as she farts sooo much and for ages.

At least your farting horses are letting it all out rather than it getting trapped (much like men in general!!). I prob wouldnt worry too much about it because if it was all getting trapped i would be more worried about colic occuring. I guess that, like us, some fart more than other (again, much like men in general. well they just seem to let it be known when they fart!!).

pmsl..Patches...

Its horrible riding through a quite village on a cob that starts farting and is still farting 15 strides on almost to the rythem of her feet. It turns heads and is not nice for daughter who is usually behind!!!
Will try peppermint.

This has just brought back horrible memories of a mare I used to jump for someone. She could fart round the whole course. She didn't start until the bell went then off she'd go. She used to manage to poo on at least one jump as well.

Heck of a reason to get a ride though - her owner won't jump her because she farts!
