Fast fibre feeding on its own?

I'm sure you could but can you and do any of you feed this on its own ? I've been using this over the winter with chaff but I would a quite like to stop the chaff as it's becoming really a bit too expensive for what it is.

Yep, only just taken on my boy from a charity but he's having a token feed of fast fibre on its own once a day. He likes it and if fed at recommended amounts it contains all vits/mins too.

I do, my horse has a breakfast of fast fibre that I soak overnight. The bowl is licked clean every morning.

Fibre is the most essential part of your horses diet and chaff is total fibre so never a waste to feed.

I cannot see exactly what is in 'Fast Fibre' but anything that requires soaking should be added to a dry feed such as chaff.

Chewing and adding saliva to the feed is the first part of digestion and if fed feeds that are wet and of small particle size then they swallow them too soon before adding sufficient saliva this then means that stomach acids are too strong and digestive problems are more likely to occur.

Feeding chaff encourages the horse to chew his food properly and to add the saliva needed for healthy digestion

I add a small handfull of hi fibre nuts with balancer and linseed, they all love it. I do offer sloppy fast fibre after competitions or hard work on its own.
