I'm liking the sound of this feed

Does anyone use it and how do they find it please?

What sort of quantities would you feed a 16hh tb?

I feed it to my 16hh TB because he reacts o alfalfa and cereals and molasses - the list is endless.... At the moment he gets about 500gm (dry weight) per day to carry his supplements but as the weather gets colder this will increase. He loves it and licks his bowl clean every day, in fact all mine like it, and I like it because its easy to use and prepare.

ditto this.

great for something tasty to carry multivits. It swells up a lot so I use even less than maggiesmum for my 17.1 dwb though do mix in a bit of readigrass to slow him down - - a bag lasts a couple of months. Lovely made up with hot water on cold nights!

Brilliant - thanks.

Have been after something simple to feed my tb. Have been feeding him speedibeet, chaff and high fibre nuts but thought this would do the same job but with less hassle.

I used to use it for my 16hh TB. She had 1 scoop (approx 0.8kg I think?! - can't remember now), soaked, so approx 3 scoops "wet weight". She also had Hi Fi Senior mixed in with it. I was using both feeds as partial hay replacers though.

I think it's a brilliant feed, and my mare loved it for about a year. Then she very suddenly went off it and won't even touch a mouthful now. She is very fussy though, so don't let that put you off lol.

Oh, and it really does soak in the time they say - by the time I'd added supplements and chopped a carrot, it was ready. I did find it took more water than the recommended amount, but maybe that's because I was using it mixed in with a chaff.

yep all mine have it; 30yr tb went off sugar beet and he has FF slopier than normal, with old faithful. doing really well on it.

if ure not sure how much to feed there is a guide on the packaging.

Yes its great. A&P recommend 1 kg of dry feed a day for a horse to get all vits and minerals, less for ponies.

Its great because it can be used as a feed or forage replacer and it is alfalfa free.

I feed it alongside ride and relax, but you can feed it on its own too as it is a complete feed.

In fact, my horse is on their website advertising it!!

Brilliant - thanks all. Just what I wanted to hear. It sounds ideal. I especially like the fact that it contains vits and minerals so it should be all my tb will need alongside his hay. Should make feedtimes nice and straightforward.
