Long-winded grumble ahead...
Is it just me that wears brand new 'competition' breeches for the first time and feels a bit glum when they get all manky-looking all round the knee and the seat area? I got some really lovely cream fullseat Pikeur jods and after one event the suedey bit on the bum is all purply-black from my saddle and it won't come out no matter how hard I scrub with Vanish
plus all my scrubbing efforts have resulted in it going all bobbly
Also got a splash of muddy water right at the top of the fullseat material and even that has stained! (and looks a bit 'suspicious' due to location and exceedingly unattractive). I suppose it wont really show once I'm in the saddle but these are the first jods I've had that don't make my bum look like a beachball and I'm a bit sad that I will still be bottom-conscious when queuing for a bacon roll at my next event, just for a different reason
So is there some magic remedy to this problem? Am I cleaning my saddle in the wrong way? Is there a wonder-product that washes out saddle gunk??? Help!
