I have a 7 mth old welsh sec d foal. She looks very plump, she gets wormed every 6 wks so pretty sure she hasn't got worms.
She gets a handful of chaff and two handfuls of mix twice daily and a section of hay twice daily. Is it to much coz it doesn't seem a lot but her belly is still growing?

Does she live in or out?

Babies (and in my case I am referring to by welshie yearling) gets plump and then takes a growth spurt and looks a bit lean and then does the cycle all over again. Currently she is on the plump side but she lives out rugless and so it's not too much of a concern as she wil need it.

why don't you save yourself some money on the 6 weekly worming. Get a worm count done, then you can worm her only if she needs it.

Cut out the mix (youngsters and especially natives don't need them and you don't want to make her joints and bones grow to fast) but then stop worrying about her. A bit of fat will see her through the winter and some of it is prob fluffy foal coat anyway ;0) !
