How awful and so, so sad. Just how can the mother/wife left behind cope with that?
What a terrible, terrible thing to happen. My thoughts are with the childrens' mother.
I'm sorry to say though, that to take 4 very young children out in a canadian canoe, on a SEA LOCH which has very strong tidal undercurrents was a very irresponsible thing to have done.
R.I.P. poor babies....you didn't stand a chance.
Thinking of the 5 year old girl involved too while she hopefully makes a quick recovery.![]()

Absolutely devastating. Heard on the news tonight that the other five yr old who was in the boat with them died in hospital today as well. So that's a lost, presumed dead father, 2 dead 5 yr olds and a dead 2 yr old. My heart breaks for the families and the remaining father who has lived to tell the tale. How one copes with this sort of tragedy I don't know. I shall be giving my little 3 yr old an extra kiss and cuddle tonight when I go in to check on her. How blessed I am to still have mine with me. You just never know when tragedy might hit.
Before everyone shouts down the grown ups for being irresponsible, I've just received a text from my best mate who was there. She was on the water an hour before and apparently it was beautiful and calm.
It's very easy for everyone to shout about how stupid people are from the safety of their armchairs but three children are dead and everyone, not just their parents, have to live with that.
