Is anyone here a member??

I am going to join but don't know a single person! Basically my horse is kept within hacking distance of some of their events but I don't live nearby. Thought it would be a cheap and not so scary way for him to gain a little more experience of the big wide world. Would be great to make contact with some members as I will be doing everything on my lonesome

I’m not, but just been looking at their website, and am wondering whether to join, they seem to do quite a bit of fun stuff. What were you thinking of doing?

I’m currently a member of Maidstone and District and Hadlow RCs.
 
Hey JoBo have pm'd you. I haven't done any RC stuff for years! I used to do Rushmore, and also Chislehurst Riding Club events but have since moved out of the area. I miss it as I often ride on my own these days and don't see many people!
 
I went to their open show last year and it was fab - really well organised,loads of classes andall the judges I met were really knowledgable and gave me loads of advice in the line up. Really wish I lived a bit closer to where they hold all there events. Will definately try and make that trip up the thanet way a bit thios summer

I’ve PMed you back! I love doing RC stuff. If you have this months Local Rider, you will see me and my sister in there on the Maidstone RC Beach Ride. Hopefully see you out and about soon!

Bit late on this one, But I've literally just moved to Faversham. mare is pregnant at the moment, But I'm definetely going to join the riding club once we're back in action. would be brilliant to meet some of you!
left all my horsey friends behind in east Sussex so i need some new ones.
haha, not desperate at all!
 
Thanks for all you replies. BayJosie don't worry I'm in the same boat! I'm at a very small yard so don't know many horsey people in the area.

I posted off my membership today and have already put my name down for a jumping clinic at Chilham on 6th March. I've only jumped him twice so am a little apprehensive!

Also I hear they're building a big new indoor school at Saddlesdane in Faversham so that will become a popular clinic/show venue, can't wait!
 
wow! what yard have you moved to?! (Pm if you want) I moved last week, it's brilliant. I thought I'd be really scared of moving and everything would be weird and horrid, but it's the best thing I have ever done!

The indoor school there is nearly done! They have a shop there and I went there at the weelkend to get some boots and had a sneaky look at the school, it looks fantastic, absolutely huge!

Where abouts do you live? in Faversham?

You can't join Wrotham and District anymore, as it no longer exists. It folded last year and is no longer running.
