Favourite breed and why :)

my favourite breed... british warmblood X welsh... has to be a gelding, 14.1ish, a star that looks like the heart logo of marks n spencers' per una! and he has to give me big kisses when he sees me :D thers not many about though =/ ... if i had to choose another.. it would be a welshy x

My Welsh x New Forest is the best for me. He is cheeky, energetic but safe & steady when you need him to be. Plus he gives amazing cuddles & kisses!! :D

I love a nice TB or TB x
Last mare was full TB, current one is a TBxOldenburgxsomething else (Basically a dutch warmblood).
But I really do like a horse with some TB influence in it!
D :D

TBs for me. All the way. They're beautiful and although they're obviously all different they're generally quite smart cookies too :)

My FAVOURITE breed is the American Appaloosa.
Because I have two of them and love them to bits.
I know they are like Marmite - you either love em or hate em!

I love them because they are characters and often mischievous and
very versatile, turning a hoof to any discipline asked of them.

I love to see the amazing array of colours that are produced.
My boy's latest baby (his first by AI) is as spotty as spotty can be and
I am so proud - I feel like a new grandma. It has made my week and
I can't stop grinning! :)

I love loads of different breeds so it's hard to choose but I have always loved German Warmbloods, especially Holsteins and Hanoverians. My boy is a Belgian Warmblood and I cannot fault him-especially for his jump! I love the big movement and jump of WB's! :D

I work in Racing and my new horse is a TB and I do absolutely love them for their athleticism, grace, courage and of course speed! :D

You're like me...I LOVE the feeling warmbloods give you when doing what they are bred to do (jumping wise that is with mine)

I used to own a TB mare and she was the same but for doing what she did best....galloping!! Amazing.

TBXISH, I am biased though because I own one :P

Very playful, forward going, brave, but very steady, safe and willing :D

TB’s all the way. I have ridden, owned and looked after many different breeds from Dartmoors to Andalusians, but I love the generosity, pure intelligence and simple beauty of a thoroughbred.
My new ex-racer TB project is so loving, willing and capable, and a joy to be around. I love the fact that this breed which is perceived to be soo highly strung, can thieve in a new career and environment so totally different from the last.
TB’s I love you x

The Fresian for me - beautiful, friendly, gorgeous action. I adore them! IDs too - I dream of owning both breeds some day.

Since living in Scotland though, I think Highlands have become my favourite pony breed. There's a great one on our yard atm that's on sale cheaply because his owners have separated... it's all I can do not to snap him up! They're gorgeous, vivacious but gentle, and I totally fawned all over them at The Fife Show last week.

My recently discovered favourite breed is the Gelderlander, because they are capable of doing anything to a high level extremely well, have a very good attitude to work, they are super intelligent and very fast learners, and they seem to be genetically very sound. They also have amazing characters, being very nosey and interested in everything that is happening - obviously because they are so smart.

Their only quirks are that they have the attention span of a nat, and they need an experienced, sensible handler, because they are so clever they'll outsmart a novice or weak willed person and take the p.

Welshies all the way for me!! :D
They vary so much in their characters and talents you can always find one to suit you. But they are always dependable, brave and cheeky :p

I'm glad someone has posted a breed that isn't well known. I have never known a Gelderlander but have heard they are nice horses to have. My horse is a Dutch Warmblood so he is very closely related....especially in the sense he has the attention span of a nat!!!!

I love my mules. They have such fantastic personalities. My 2 are too small for me to ride but they're happy to play games and go for walks! :D

I hope to breed a big one within the next few years! Mum will be IDx and dad will be my Poitou cross donkey. They are currently practising so fingers crossed!;)

Haflinger! :D Another marmite horse I believe, I love there cheeky natures, mine never fails to make me laugh and I love him to pieces, he's my best mate! :p

This! Even though mine is crossed with an Anglo Arab!(his dad was a haflinger)
He has the temperament of a haflinger though!
Cheeky and can be a bit stubborn as he knows what he wants!
