Favourite Horsey TV shows when you were a kid

Yep i remember horse in the house!!! follyfoot, champion, black beauty, horse of the year show on telly lots!!! and of course white horses ( the theme tune i have as the ring tone on my phone!!!!! love it!)

I loved a programme, I think it was called Jockey school, but I maybe wrong. About a young girl who wanted to be a jockey, started at a racing stables as a stable lass, it was a very male orientated workplace, and she worked her way up.

Does anyone remember Horse in the House?

Was wondering if someone might have remembered this one? A chestnut with a white blaze called Orbit and the music was great - a bit like the Waltons music, or am I mixing up the theme tunes? Can't remember much more about it except that we'd be glued to it after school.
And the wonderful Flambards too of course. There are online forums dedicated to Flambards so it feels like it's never gone away, especially when I have the videos at home!

White Horses :) My cousin had the 7" single of the theme song. I love the song and for some reason it makes me want to cry. I must be getting sentimental in my old age.

My favourite, I also had the single, it was the first record I ever bought.

I also loved Follyfoot. Flambards wasn't quite so good, but, hey, it had ponies in it.

Me too! And Champion the Wonder Horse, humming it now!

Me too - it's actually the ringtone on my phone!! Always used to look forward to it on a Saturday morning - and then used to drive my family mad for the rest of the day as I sang the theme tune over and over again. (It used to be on around the same time as The Flashing Blade - not strictly horsey, but had lots of horses in it and one of the memorable theme tunes of all time!).

I never liked chatterhappy ponies, far too annoying for my liking.

A few years ago there was a BBC1 children's programme following a inner city riding school in a Northern city, Newcastle iirc. Cannot remember the name of the programme...

It was Newcastle but I can't remember what it was called either.

I was also a fan of If Wishes Were Horses, I do still have the videos. I wonder if it would be a commercially viable DVD release. Or if it's on youtube

I remember that being on TV but not being allowed to watch it as there was something on the other channel that one of my brothers wanted to watch (there wasn't, but he knew Mommie Dearest would give him preferential treatment, and I wouldn't get to watch the horsey show)

I remember that one! I had the book as well, she rode a horse called Gobbledegook in a race.
