hi, i have done this before but someone suggested that i do a poll, which i am now (trying-hope it works!) going to do.

sorry, welshies have to be split into two groups because it doesnt let me do enough options!

my vote is connie!

sorry if i miss any breeds out, vote for your favourite one in the poll and then comment your favourite too

Highlands - for their character and trouble-making skills although could have throttled mine today.
New Forests - for their temperament. They're just so sweet and friendly.

Highlands, all the way, every time...

who could say no to this face? (his, not mine )

I like all natives really and I think they are very under-rated as an adults ride, a good up to height native will turn its hoof to any thing with a sense of humor.

Although I have voted connie whats not to love most of them are scopey, have nice paces, the ability to get them selves out of trouble and an opinion to keep you on your toes :D. JFTD's highlands are also very nice and I would snap either of them up, they have such fab temprements (obviously helped by early training for both of them) and no fear  :D. I have a ride on a dartmoor and a few little welshies who are all great fun in their own little ways, the dartmoor thinks he is the biggest and best thing ever and despite only being young is fab at looking after his small jockey whilst still testing her and has made her a fab rider and the welshies are just funny theres no other words for them :D.

Hard one for me as two of my best childhood ponies were a Welsh B and a Connemara x, however I have voted for Shetland because despite their reputation I have fallen in love with them over the years, almost everyone I know has started their children on a dear old Shetland and they are a versatile, tough breed with oodles of character.

sorry, no! i looked on HorseQuest, native breeds,to get the breeds up. i should've really done welshies as one and another one saying 'other'
