Hi all,
I am a new horse owner and want to stock up on things I'll need and wondered if you could tell me the products that make your life easier, things you can't live without and anything else you think I may need. I want to spoil him rotten!
Look forward to hearing your views and thank you.

Congrats! I'd be thinking practically, I'm afraid - sudocream, hibiscrub, gamgee, vetwrap, cotton wool sheeting and the like. A good basic first aid kit is vital, as you want to be able to clean and deal with minor scrapes and knocks when they arise. I always keep a clean sponge and a towel in my tack box. The other stuff you need will make itself clear as you work together - what kind of boots, pads, bit, etc. Don't go too mad at first - you'll buy plenty of stuff during your time together, believe me! :p

Basic first aid kit and..

Sudocream.
Tea tree oil.
Baby Oil.
Lynn Russel Detangler.
Cornucrescine
Baby Wipes
Stain removing shampoo and spray :p

I'll agree with apolloBaby- you seem to acquire things... from no idea where
Towels wipes and sponges too! Also a shedding blade!

All the best!

Another vote for Sudocrem :)
Baby wipes (cheap as possible)
I love my homebase tool box, brilliant grooming box
Either a grooming box you can stand on or a stool (have a £7 gardening stool that I can't live without with my 17hander!)
Second the basic first aid kit too

Definately don't go mad immediately, I have grown a collection over the last year or so and definately regret a few first day giddy buys!

For example don't buy a full set of rugs in one brand before you know the fit is right by trying one.

A spring curry - best thing ever :D

er, I imagine they're still in the honeymoon phase and the OP isn't yet considering turning her steed into a curry, spring or otherwise  :D

You can never have too many hoof picks, brushes and buckets in my opinion. And pairs of scissors. Assuming you're like me and could represent team GB in the Losing Small Items Oympics, that is.

Other than that, given our current weather, several hundred turnouts, exercise sheets and thermatexes to dry the beast off once he's been soaked
