what are your go to riding tights that aren’t erm, *unflattering* in the front? ideally more budget friendly but i’m not opposed to spending more if they’re worth it!

i’ve looked at a lot, especially the smaller online brands, but not being able to try things on since they often don’t sell in shops makes me hesitant since i hate the faff of returns haha

I have a few pairs of Eileen Douglass ones. They’re cheap and cheerful but have lasted well. I wear them in winter with fleecy leggings underneath too. They do them without a silicone seat, which is a must for me.

Legacy all the way for riding tights. I have a few pairs of their full seat tights and they’ve lasted forever. Around the £40-50 mark I believe.

Another good brand is Harry hall. Their tights are constantly on sale and are true to size. Very nice material and again, super long lasting.

Stay clear of Justtogs imo. While I like a lot of their clothing and boots, I had serious issues with their tights - specifically the ones with the mesh down the sides over the logo. The stitching fell apart within a few weeks.

Best breeches are ariat. Not tried their tights but their breeches are very worthwhile if you find a good sale on them and are far more flattering than tights (and many of them are stretchier now than breeches used to be!)

My burgundy ones did ? Haven’t worn my ‘grey’ pair enough to see the damage (I quote because they looked grey in the store & the tag said they were, but they turned out to look a rather gross shade of purple in the sun).

It’s a shame, as I really do love their old boots and the tights are a good price.

Sorry to derail slightly OP but I have a riding tights related question.
I bought a pair of the gs equestrian ones in a sale, but they’re super shiny/slippery material.
I haven’t really seen other riding tights up close, is this how they all are or is it specific to the brand I bought?

No they are not all like that, did you buy the Becca ones with just knee patches?
