Hey, just for fun, what is everyones favourite brand and/or model of saddles? Which look best? What's popular? Any saddles that last forever? Like I said just for fun and a bit of saddle picking knowledge in the bank! :)

I've had several Lovatt & Ricketts saddles over the years, always very well made and comfy. My mare's saddle is an Arabian Saddle Company (L&R) Soltice Endurance and it's the most comfortable saddle I've ridden in. I also have a Charles Mountfort GP, but unfortunately it doesn't fit my mare. That saddle is beautifully made with top quality leather and I have ridden hundreds of miles in it on my previous mare.

Just ordered my second Black Country. Love the way they're made, fits my horse like a glove and wonderfully balanced to ride on. Have also had Barnsby saddles on my previous horse and they were excellent as well.

I've got two favourites - one is a very old Stubben Siegfried which I absolutely love, sadly it doesn't fit any of mine at the moment so it's stashed in my spare room! The other is a Prestige Paris SF D, which I am almost equally as fond of and thankfully does fit the current horses! Bit concerned about how long the calfskin will last on the Prestige though, so I have been religious about not riding in jeans and making sure my boots are clean!

I adore my stubben Siegfried - they are very marmite saddles, people love or hate them but it's held me in through lots of sticky situations over the years. It doesn't fit the big horse after his last break so I'm in a real dilema over whether to sell or hang on to it, could do with the cash but I'll kick myself in a couple of years when I need it again I'm sure.

Owt that fits.
Currently Arab is in a thorowgood T4 which he is happy with, whilst it's not the most stylish looking thing it's the only saddle that he doesn't buck in....so it'll do for me. If he carries on being happy in it I will probably " upgrade"to the Kent and Masters version.
Personally...I had a GFS Pro VSD for my previous horse and I loved it.

I love my Black Country ricochet jumping, it's so comfortable

And I love my semiflex dressage as my horse feel amazing in it,

I love jeffries saddle especially my hawk event but for everyday use wouldn't swap my jeffries stamford working hunter saddle as its so comfy can spend hours hacking in it & then it's been brill for showing in :)

Just had a Kent & Masters GPD saddle fitted, ridden on it four times and love it. It's really made a difference to my boy who's much happier with the straight cut flaps.
