Just wondering what would look smart for me to compete in? I'm looking for the most versatile jacket as I'm not sure whether I'd like to get into hunting, but I think I'll have to get a different tweet one for that if I didn't have a tweed one in the first place.. I have a grey irish hunter, her tack is black and so are her boots, numnah etc but I don't want to look too plain Jane and blend into my horse and we will only be in black and white! Also would a saddle pad in black look smarter then a black numnah for showing in your opinion? I hope this makes sense and isn't too confusing! X

You mention showing and using a saddlepad which is not correct, a discrete numnah should be used so the judge can see the horse not have it covered by the pad.
If you plan on showing you really need a tweed jacket which is correct for most classes and can be worn for anything else you choose to do, I think if you want to get a plain jacket then you won't go wrong with navy but tweed is the most versatile, if you get a good one it will last for many years.
