Favourite sire? Or are we the only ones...

My current fad is for finding horses with no recorded breeding at all! Goodness knows where my current two came from, other than a bog in Ireland!

This is my favourite breeding at the moment too! My current cow pony is from some sort of Irish bog, and I'd have another :D

I'd love another with similar breeding to my old eventer, by Actinium. I have seen another about which is eventing to quite a high level, but doesn't look too similar, but obviously has similar talents.
Or anything with Grey Macha in the lines.

A friend of mine has had several lovely horses by Condios and I would always be interested in his stock. From a TB sire I like Green Desert horses, maybe not hugely fashionable but atheltic all rounders

Green Desert is my boys Grandsire :D He is certainly athletic...... (broken another light fighting by broncing in his stable

I'd empty the piggy bank and the special reserves for another Ghareeb mare. I just adore mine, and couldn't speak highly enough of her- for attitude and temperament I have never met another like her.

That's a shame, I have a nice one here................

Maesfen, are you admitting to having a horse with warmblood breeding on your premises, and calling it 'nice' to boot!:eek:

The Ghareeb mare I had on my yard to produce sounds like yours. Just utterly the most honest, genuine soul I've ever had the pleasure of working with. (Had ability for advanced to boot!) Such a sweetheart. She had the cleanest vetting ever when she was sold so much so the vet said to me he wanted to buy her for his daughter and would have even if he found something wrong! I was so pleased she went to a lovely new home where she is loved to bits by an adoring family for their lovely daughter rather than being just another horse on a large for a pro.

Funnily enough I know of a Ghareeb mare for sale...

Well, I love Mally and my friends horse Jaffa, who both have Clover Hill as a Grandsire and are the spit of each other in everyway. However I know a few more that are very different, so I would be wary of loving a horse just because it was Clover Hill lines. Although I do pay special attention to them!

I have ridden a few Clover Hill line horses now. And I own one now too :D
They have such easy temperaments and a generally nice people.

I just google "Horsequest Alflora", nothing high tech!

Springy, you sure? ;) Reg is genuinely the nicest 'person' to be around, and stupidly talented to boot... Another one would be rather lovely :D

Cavalier Royale fan here, i had a stunning 4year old, he was a soppy thing, bravest jumper ever, i remeber taking him to do a workers class, judge checked his teeth as he couldnt believe how well he did his round, sold him when he was 8 :( due to work commitments, still looking foranother since!

Mines by negretto and I often have a search to see if one has come up for sale, not many around though but do see the odd one or two. I suppose I'm keen on anything negro as I know a few and like them all, attitudes and ability plus valegro didn't turn out too badly ;).

Primitive Rising...blinkin' legend! Exceptional movers, awesome jumpers, lovely temperments and very trainable. I would love another big bay boy please santa:)

I was never a fan of his. To be fair I have only ever had to deal with one of his offspring who goes against everything you have said apart from the bay bit lol! This horse screwed with it's hind legs, fell in pretty much every single race it did then when rehomed fell xc and scratched his eyeball and ended up blind in that eye. Was a grumpy toad before that and then so much so when he lost sight in that eye he became very depressed, nasty, narky and generally despised life so he was pts. He just couldn't cope anymore. And it didn't come from the mothers side of the family as I rode all 4 other offspring and they were all the most delightful horses you could possibly immagine. 2 by Cloudings, 1 by Alflora - the horse I spoke of before, and a cross to a connie.

Rainbow Quest. But that's not very likely to happen anymore... :(

Boff really wants a Cobra x racing TB... her dream horse. :)

I know of a Rainbow Quest for sale ;) And a delightful horse he is too!

I named my last homebred colt after him with the intention of running him on as a stallion as his 2 brothers had turned out so nicely. Unfortunately Arcs did not live up to his brothers and was cut - I was most upset as I had reserved the name for the one colt we would keep and as a foal he really was a cracker. But he grew up very differently :-/

Mine was so athletic he broke my tooth by bucking so hard it felt like I was being smacked up the bottom with a frying pan (all in the name of fun!)

Youch, almost been there, mine flung himself over a jump so much he smacked me in the face and ended up with a huge bruise on my cheek. He has smashed 4 light fittings in his stable by broncing and rearing so far :o
