Featuring in a magazine !?

As a sort of 'thank you' to somebody for doing something for me i'd love to send a letter into a magazine to feature...but i don't know how to go about it or what magazine to contact!
Don't want to say too much about the story but it's all horse based (obviously) and quite moving
