Just finished ragworting two fields, got to start on the last one. Has anyone noticed that ragwort grows behind your back while you are digging up another piece? Aaaaargh, hate the stuff

I did my back in one year doing so much digging, so I invested in some BarrierH and have never looked back!

Love it, a couple of sprays and it's all over for the ragwort

Me too, it's never ending. I sprayed some of mine but I swear just as much has grown in the time that has died!!!

Yes we tried barrier H and I agree it worked, the only problem is my neighbour doesn't do a lot about her ragwort and the seeds blow onto my land. I started with one piece of the dreaded wort twelve years ago and now I'm inundated. I do spray the rosettes but because all three fields are affected, I struggle with grazing if I have to keep the neds off the land. Oh well, in conjunction with the diet and fresh air, I keep telling myself it's good for me!

That's not fair!!! Neighbour going to get her fields cut with the ragwort in! Fortunately she only has one horse and doesn't graze most of it. One year I got so fed up I pulled about 20 barrow loads just out of her land that borders mine

I have been digging ragwort up in our field for 20 years, and still the damn stuff reappears. Not helped by neighbours on either side who don't do anything about the stuff. I am slowly winning, and now it very rarely gets beyond the rosette stage before I spot it. Another strange ragwort fact, why is it you see it when you are in the field without your ragfork, but when you go back suitably armed it has disappeared

Well if she's not bothered by the ragwort and is making no efforts to remove it from her land then I'm sorry but I'd be reporting her as it's an offence to do nothing about it

Try doing 5 hectares (on your own!) LOL! I agree it's horrible, the guys who had it before us NEVER did it...you can imagine how much there is! I'm doing the fields where they will be next...and then after that...etc! I might just have to pay my brother to help me!!!
