Well I posted here the other day to say that I was taking my boy for an in hand walk up the lane and back on vets ok...following his recovery from laminitis. He has been round the lane before as I have to walk him a short way to my house when the farrier comes...so he has been on tarmac in the last 5 months!
He was well behaved and seemed fine in all respects..bit forward going but that is to be expected and he was happy to stay in walk.
Well tonight he is pretty lame on one front!!!
It does not appear to be laminitis related as there is no digital pulse at all and it is not in the same foot as he had the rotation anyway.
I have obviously put him in for the night and given him a bute...it appears more inside leg related around the top of his fetlock joint...hard to tell but it appeared warmer around that area and he was not keen on me pressing for a digital pulse there either.
He is weight bearing but it is obviously sore somewhere.
I picked his hooves out and did pull a small twig from between his hoof and hearbar shoe...but I doubt that is enough.
I will see how he is in the morning but it is very frustrating as I have done everything to the book with the vet and I have no way of telling if it is related to the walk this morning or he has done something silly in the field....aggghhhh!

Ah. So frustrating hun

Did you cold hose, just in case it is a sprain/twist?

Fingers crossed that it is a minor blip.
