Fed up with equine industry- anyone else?

Farriers- my experience- in 22 yeard of ownership i've had 6 farriers due to living in uni/moving for first job etc etc. I've only ever had 2 reliable ones. I know things can change between bookings- but a phone call would be nice. If you dont want to trim my horse tell me- don't leave me hanging. if you say you will call me back please do so. My boy is desperate for a trim, my current farrier didnt trim him last time as he never reterned my calls, and this time (now 2 weeks overdue) he says he's not coming down my way for 'a bit' (My yard is 30 min from his house) The farrier who did him last time was pants so im now at a loss......

Dentists- Rang up over a month ago for my routine check up. Send me a text with yards post code he said and I'll call you back tomorrow. No phone call...... called him week later- he says will come out following week. He didnt turn up..... Called last week to arrange for today, text yesterday to double check. Was due at 2.30pm (I left work early especially) guess what still not here!!!

Saddlers- bought a saddle (£700) new from saddler - trusted her advice- saddle doesnt fit. Two other saddlers and a chiro have confirmed.... if I part ex my virtually new saddle I get £350 for it (grrrr) will she answer my calls- no!


Is there anyone left to trust?!
 
I know tell me about it!!

especially saddlers! they drive me insane, i have tried so many and all say something different (my horse hasnt changed that much)

GRRR drives me mad..

Where abouts are you because my dentist is fab?
 
Between Worcester and Malvern. So I think miles from you! I'm wondering if I should text and ask dentist why he didnt show? Or if I should just leave it and look for another ?
 
yeah slightly too far i think which is a shame because he is lovely and brilliant. I would ring him up and ask him what happened. because not only if your horse not getting important checks, its wasting time you be spending doing other things!

I still have yet to find a decent farrier or saddler though
 
I will not deal with un-reliable people. My farrier has two future appointments (6 week intervals) for me in his diary at any time. He turns up on time and does a good job. End of.
If you have problems with a farrier then contact the Farriers Registration Committee as their disiplinary committee is there to regulate farriers.
