I've had my youngster (Warmblood x) for a while and he's a good doer, doesn't need feed but gets a handful of nuts and alfalfa when the other horses are fed.
now, I'm moving him and getting back my mare off loan. She is a ex-racehorse who is sensible and I'd like to keep it that way. She needs some feed as she is a poor-doer and won't be going on rich grass - as I'll be taking back shoes off too. So my question is, what feed should I give her?
She'll be hacked out a few times a week and schooled once/twice. I may take her to the odd show, but will be light/medium work load.
