Having decided to not part with our gelding, we are looking ahead for him to the nasty winter months..!
He is coming up to 17months old, 14hh now, Shire/TB x Hano. He had a very poor start but is now in good condition, and improving slowly but surely.
He will be rugged, and have access to a good field shelter, as much excellent haylage as he can chomp on, and as good pasture as one can expect for the winter. His current diet is : Suregrow, Hifi, Fenugreek, hay.
Was thinking along the lines of gradually introducing some alfabeet, or milk pellets and wondered what you thought. Have to be a bit careful as he has had ulcars and is definately of a weaker constitution than many.
I will be calling D&H for some advice as he has done everso well on their Suregrow, but would really like some HHOers experiences as to what we should do, without going OTT and in order to get the best results.
Many Thanks.
