Hello
I am feeding my feed sensitive dressage cob fast fibre as in the past he has been known to get very full of it and notices changes in feed very quickly.
Last year he had to have reduced grazing as even bare paddocks were too much for him.
This year he is more established and is now on full day turnout on reasonable grass.
He is being ridden approx 30mins schooling 6 days a week. He is recently starting to feel tired and lacks energy.
I have upped his fast fibre as he is a good doer and is a good weight.
I dont want to feed for weight or to make him silly but he needs something to give him a little more ooomf to cope with the work load

Any ideas?
Thanks! :)

I school him and hack etc 6 days a week. He gets a variety from walk hacks to cantering on the field to proper dressage schooling. The work is quite hard and I think he is genuinely lacking in energy.

30 minutes a day is quite light work and if he's a good doer perhaps a vit and min supplement with his fast fibre will perk him up a bit if he is lacking in something.

Well it was a bit of an approx. It can be more of course. But some days we can spend time in walk bending and flexing.
We are working quite hard on improving doing alot of transitions, leg yielding, flexing, etc to imorove our way of going. Im not saying we are doing advanced medium or anything but we have aims of affiliating this year.
For my other horse this work would be a walk in a park for her but he is feeling tired.
He is already on a multi vit sup.
Thanks for help :)

Hes a chunky solid type trad cob. But for his type he is in my opinion about right. I wouldnt want more weight but I dont think he is too fat as you can just feel his ribs.
