My 7 year old Connemara gelding is currently getting Cool & Collected and Alfa A Molasses Free chaff, as well as ad lib hay throughout the day.
Whilst he's looking "Ok" (fairly dull, scurfy coat) on this, I'm not happy with this combination and think I need to change it up.

What would you suggest feeding him? Grass/hay have not been tested (and we seem to buy hay from a boatload of different places as YO deals with that..).

He's generally quite a chilled out horse on the ground and quite forward going when ridden, but he's only currently doing groundwork due to various reasons, so whilst I don't want to give anything to hot him up too much, it's not one of my biggest worries. I am wary however that he seems to be a good weight at the minute (so want something for maintenance rather than to put weight on).

Any advice would be great :)

I would cut out the C&C and replace with Speedibeet and micronised linseed

Or

Cut out the C&C and add Speedibeet and swap the Alfa A for the Alfa A with oil

Speedibeet because it cuts out 'fillers'
Micronised Linseed or the oil chaff for better skin and coat condition
