Does anyone feed A&P Slim & Healthy or Fast Fibre??

I have a new girl who's most defo way up in the 'good doer' ranks but just want a little something for vits/minerals/supplements.

I like the look of both of the above.

Only really thinking of A&P as i used to have my old girl on Old Faithful and she loved it and did really well on it.

Thanks :)

Scranny - use a feed balancer and feed it out of your hand, or a vit. supp. and give it in a 'diet chaff'. Please don't encourage her waistline because you love her! Where are the pics, anyway? I have completely missed this news!

Fast Fibre is great for those with waistline issues!! :D

I use for all of ours when they need suplements etc and more fibre going through their without any added fizz, sugar, calories etc etc They lick the bowl clean so you know they get all the supplement. It works out to be good on the pennies as well as you can use a little or a lot depending on horse/conditon etc but becasue you add water even the samllest amount goes a long way as it doubles in size.:)

Brighteyes - I certainly won't be encouraging her waistline, i don't want her to pop believe me! Just need to get supplements into her. LOL pics will follow soon. I've only had her just under 3 weeks!

SU - Thanks :) think thats settled then. My friend is the local A&P Rep and she recommended both - but wanted opinions :D

I've used both and still using Fast Fibre, it's great and really good for good doers, I use it for my old boy, easier for him to slurp it up, small amount goes along way.

Both the feeds you mention are really good (I've used them on a good-doer who needed a little extra when living out through the winter).

However I would feed Baileys Lo-cal or Equibites or a powered vitamin and mineral supplement in a handful of Happy Hoof or similar low calorie chaff unless your horse really does need an additional feed.

Fast Fibre for both of mine, it's great. Used to use chaff and lo-cal but find they like this better and it's definitely cheaper.

I am using Fast Fibre for my old man with no teeth. He loves it and I love the fact that it soaks so quickly.

i use slim and healthy and my pony has lost weight since being on this - he was on ride and relax before - i was tempted by fast fibre but it does not appear to be fortified with vitamins in the same way as slim and healthy so did not seem much point in feeding if the horse does not need the extra bulk.

slim and healthy is meant to be fed alongside an equal measure of chaff and soaked. i use dengie good doer chaff with the slim and healthy. dengie good chaff is also fortified with vitamins so i feed a half ration of slim and healthy to take account of this.

I use fast fibre for my mini shettie who was very fat! she is just right now she has had this all spring/summer with restricted grazing and soaked hay, she doing very well on it i will add a bit of happy hoof in the winter.
