feed balancer plus oats?

Can you feed a balancer and add oats, or will that disrupt the balance ?
Also, I assume you can bulk out a balancer with chaff and sugar beet?

there are balancers designed to be fed with oats.
chaff and beet can be added if needed.

I use Equilibra which is designed to be fed with Tiger Oats at heavier workloads.
