Whats the most cost effective broad spectrum vit and min supplement. I have 4 different equines all with very different dietary requirements. I try to keep it simple. At the moment they all have sugar beet, homemade chaff, grass nuts (for those who need them) lo cal and additional linseed, but we seem to get through lo cal at a gallop rather than a trot. Do you need linseed with loc cal? Would it be better to use a basic vit and min supplement and linseed. I have been having a trawl on the internet but its so difficult to make comparisons and maths isn't my strong point!

Suggestions gratefully received

BTW we have
1 5yo ISH, light work with a tendancy to get loose bowls
1 4yo cob - light work, on a diet as purchased very fat in Nov
1 25yo cob x retired, loosing muscle but good weight wise, has breathing probs and arthritis
1 aged Sec A, retired, has cushings and arthritis, lost weight this winter (1st time ever) no laminitis but always a risk with cushings.

I swapped to Spillers balancer a year ago having previously used Equivite vit min supplement. Wouldn't go back! Two competing ones have Original and two good doers have Lite, cheaper than Baileys Lo Cal.
We just add garlic plus few alfalfa nuts (soaked) and kwikbeet when required. They do great on it with ad lib hay and salt lick. Think it is actually cheaper than adding vitamins to more feed.

Yes i do feed linseed as well for my horses joints but this 365 has lots of yeast and other binding products in it my horses poo a lot less on it and are more soild but neither suffer from runny poo anyway
