What if any fed balancers are you all using this winter? Harry's currently on baileys number 19 performance feed balancer and it's fab but just wondered if there was any others out there that where worth trying?

In the summer he has baileys Lo cal balancer and during the winter spillars lite both seem adequte i have tried the Dodson & Horrell Ultermate Balance but was to expensive almost the same as Blue Chip without the same results

Thanks a lot for all your replies. I do have hi, on the performance balancer. I'm tempted just to try him on a new one just to see what the difference is. Baileys lo cal didn't do much for him tho. X

Another vote for Top Spec comprehensive balancer.

Top Spec has probios and biotin and a few extras. My ISH has TB legs and hooves so its great for him, farrier happy with his feet :)

I use Saracens Stamm 30 balancer its brilliant and has done wonders for my boy. His coat is great and he is full of the joys of life! I have tried the lo cal balancer too but found the Stamm to be much more suited to my horse who went through a stage of lacking a bit of energy.

I use TopSpec light balancer , there is also a normal one. I use it for my connemara because he doesn't really need any hard feed and needs to lose weight! - so i just give him the balancer to provide him with vital vits and mins. He seems to really like it and has 500g a day.

I fed mine baileys lo cal before i went on to top spec comprehensive. Mine loses weight in winter hence putting him on top spec. However on the lite side baileys was good, top spec is also a great feed so go with whats cheaper per kg. :)

I feed topspec. I switched to a cheaper brand and when I looked at the ingredients I had to feed twice as much to give the same amounts. 50% cheaper maybe but had to feed twice the amount so no actual saving...

can anyone tell me which lite balancer is best? Bailey Lo-cal, spillers lite or TopSpec lite?? Their prices vary!

I use TopSpec lite, and my horse has seemed to lost weight on it. I was debating this before I put my horse on a lite balancer. I know alot of people use Baileys Lo Cal - but, I vaguely remember i picked TopSpec lite because it had a lower % of fat or sugar or both in it and I think Baileys Lo Cal has a small amount of molasses in it whereas TopSpec lite has none! But Baileys Lo Cal is still a good balancer and would have been my second choice. :)

Thank you!! It doesn't need to make them lose weight, as two compete and are in hard work (just the one fat highland pony who's in very light work) but I want it to have everything they need in vitamin wise xx

Most people have said Spillers or TopSpec... hmmmm
