I have a stoopid TB that kicks his feed bucket around his bed then can't eat feed because its all hidden under straw and hes too stupid to work it out!
Just got him a supplement for gastric ulcers but hes not actually eating any of it!

Don't want to put a manger up because he windsucks so don't want him pulling it off the wall!
So need a feed bucket that he can't tip over?!?!
Probably no such thing but worth a try!

I find just putting my normal feedbucket in a tyre works really well even if there is a small gap between the bucket and the tyre to just get them out of the habit and then can usually remove it after they stop pawing at it. worth a try and usually a fairly cheap option!

i have a few bucket flickers!!! then they lose their feed in the bed and then try to tell me they havent been fed at all! now i just tip those horses feeds on the floor at front of stable where there is no bed and they hoover it up! i also tip and spread the greedy feeders to stop them gobbling! works well and no different buckets req!!

The tyre really works, my 2 year old would put his foot in the bucket within 3 seconds of getting his feed, and has the yearling doing it now. tyre worked straight away. I bought "laundry baskets" in tesco €5 each, and put them into the tyre, they are exactly the same as the feed buckets you get in equestrian stores, they are plastic/rubbery with 2 handles, that take alot of abuse. Hope you get sorted, nothing worse than seeing hard earned feed being trampled on.

Either have the feed bucket in a tyre or if that doesn't work you can fit a manger just off the floor so that the manger can fit into the tubular frame that's fixed to the wall but will stop it from being kicked around the stable.

will try one that is actually meant to go in tyre though, doesn't look like he will be able to pull those out!

I've just bought a door mounted bucket for my bucket flicker and OMG, finally he's eating a whole meal without putting his foot in his tea!!!!
It's the rubber tyre type not a hard plastic one.
It's quite large so he has no probs getting his nose into it and i just take it off when he's finished.
It was the best £18 i've ever spent on him!!!
