I have a fit Connie 5yo who is in need of a little zing! During the summer with the fresh grass he perked up a little and was happily holding weight on a scoop of hifi light and sprinkle fibre cubes just to keep him in routine. Since he has been in a little more he has seemed a little sluggish particularly as the work is getting harder. He is holding weight so just requiring something for a bit of pep!

What about trying D&H competition concentrate - specifically for energy for horses who don't need weight on
Or Spillers Instant Response Mix- similar to the D&H

Or just good simple oats?

I'd start by making sure he's having a full daily ration of a good vit/min supplement or balancer, containing around 1mg of selenium as selenium yeast each day (assuming a 500kg horse).
