Okay, so I am starting to bring my giraffe necked youngster into a bit more of an outline. He's beginning to use his hindquarters nicely, and working long and low - when he's not distracted!
We are doing lots of hillwork, working inhand, and lunging. Lots of playtime too - he's such a sweetie!

Any suggestions for a feed/balancer thats good for improving topline/muscle tone?

I know that working is the main thing but if anyone's got any ideas, Reilly and myself would be most grateful!

Cheers

I have used blue chip previously with fantastic results and so have my friends who recommended it to me. I used the original and a lady at the yard who has a cushings pony uses the lami-light variety.

However, there is much more choice on the market now. Baileys do a mix version I think it's no. 14 and the cubes is no.4. Or there's outshine now too.

I would trawl the net and find whats best for you guys. I bet you, you'll chop and change a lot until you find the right one.

I have just started using top spec for exactly the same reason. I am feeding a young mare just in work and an old chap. They have both been on it a week so no results to see as yet. It was recommended by my feed merchant.

Really recommend Top Spec feed balancer. My TB has been on it for 6 weeks now and the results are really visible. He's fed a forage based diet (Alfa A, Sugar beet) and Top Spec conditioning cubes and balancer. Their helpline is really good (no hard sell etc) so well worth a call. Have just started lunging for 20 mins a day and he's definitely heading in the right direction.

Best of luck! x
