My horse is 16,2 hh 26 yr old with Cushings & arthritis in hocks & shoulders. He’s a fussy feeder with a small appetite so has 3 small feeds daily, presently just a feed balancer with joint support supplement but he has stopped eating it. Out on old grass days, in with steamed hay nights. Is there a mix already with joint support that would suit him ?

Maybe have a look at Allen & Page Veteran Vitality. I’m thinking about trying the Veteran Light for my guy but he is EMS so don’t want to jump straight to the higher calorie veteran vitality.

spillers supple and senior was recommended by my physio for my older lad. He did well on it, but he was a big eater so no issue with him eating anything. Could you put some apple juice or peppermint in his feed to make it more interesting.

Have you done a Cushings tests recently to check where his levels are at? The heat and fluctuating grass growth could be knocking him out of kilter. My daughter has a fussy eater, and Mollichaff Apple gets his attention every time. It is a molassed feed, but a double handful won't hurt.

Thanks everyone. I forgot to say he’s retired so doesn’t need feeding for work just something to add his joint complete supplement to. He hasn’t been getting this for over a week now. I’ve ordered some Spillers Senior Complete Care so will see how he does on that.
