I have been recommended Formula for Feet by a friend and I would really like to try it but I'm really not sure how to feed it.

Horse is currently on HiFi Lite and Blue Chip Lami Lite. He is at a good weight now, on restricted grazing and hay in light to medium work. He's a 6yo Welsh Cob, his feet are quite poor and he had a bout of lami last year. Would I be okay to just replace the Blue Chip with F4F?

What would you be feeding? There's just too much choice and I'm not sure what is enough vits and mins and what is too much.

Why has your friend recommended it? Does your horse have bad feet despite being on Anti-Lam?

If your horse looks well, has enough energy and feet are ok, then I would leave the diet alone.

I have found that Cut Heal's Hoof Heal really helps horses with rubbishy feet - no changing diet then.

Or you could try something like topspec comprehensive, that has hoof stuff in it, and its a balancer to

Sorry, I completely mis-read your post.

If feet arent very good then Formula for Feet may help.

Have you chat with Blue Chip to see how their balancer compares with Formula for Feet perhaps?

Tops Spec are meant to be very good so I would give them a call too. :)

I'm a big fan of F4F, it worked miracles on a mare I bought with horrendous feet. If he's a good weight so doesn't need extra feed, I'd just feed the F4F or just a handful of damped chop with it; it's a small pellet and you feed less than a cupful, they seem to like the taste and take it out of your hand. Give it at least until the end of the tub and don't tell your farrier, see if he notices a difference himself; that's what I did with mine and he couldn't believe the change in quality of the foot in two months.
