As per title. Have a TB who windsucks, isn't skinny but can see ribs a bit, and I'm wondering what people would recommend to put on condition without sending him loopy! He gets ad-lib haylege, is currently on a scoop of cool mix & a scoop of healthy hoof twice a day with pink powder and garlic & more, plus oil.

The wind sucker I had was very fat and a good doer (probably because he was eating masses of wood.........)
I was training him as a pointer at the time, so his diet was mostly protein - no ulcers but he did have colic once (not bad, and mostly because I rode him out late one afternoon, when his routine was to be ridden out in the morning.......)
Some wind suckers will run up a bit light, but normal rules apply as for any TB who is poor at retaining weight - conditioning mix, plenty of bulk - I use Sugar Beet or Alfa A.....and I dollop masses of supermarket own brand veg oil in thier feeds - makes a difference.....

I have mine on pure easy and suits him really well, can see his ribs in some angles and as I had vet out for a castration for another I got him a heaalth check had bloods done etc just for interest, all came back good and vet said what great condition he looked in so I'm not worrying about seeing his ribs a bit
