My horse is currently getting 1scoop of cherrychaff and 1 scoop of no4 conditioning cubes twice a day and unlimited amount of hay, and is fat at the level i would like her:) however she has started going off her chaff over the past few weeks and also getting VERY excitable when i ride her. I cant ride her much now with the dark nights and not great turnout because of wetness of ground so wont have proper turnout till ground freezes over. any advice? most people on my yard have horses that live off nothing so not sure what to do!

Choose a fibre based feed, Cherry chaff is high in sugar, which will make her fizzy!!!

Fibre is slow to be absorbed and will make her feel full for longer.

Fast fibre plus some fibre based chaff maybe the answer

Exactly.

Try hi fi or hi fi lite.
Basically fibre with a general mineral suppliment could be all she needs.

Horses get magnesium from the grass which calms them down, however this is usually the case whenthe spring grass comes through, but as shes not getting out you could maybe try her on some. ive heard the liquid form is the best but cant say from my own experience.
