My horse has dropped some wieght.
Before you think something drastic - have just moved yards so he lost a bit through the move and one of the many reasons I moved yards is previous yard wasn't feeding him)
He is currently on cool mix and hifi lite and excellent haylage. Also grass (ad its growing!!)

Horse is highly strung nervy type arabX.

Are tb mare done that, but this was due to being turned away for summer on bad grazing. We are now feeding her baileys no.17 conditioning mix, baileys no.1, afla chaff, garlic, soya oil and some apples. She is defently putting the weight back on, for more fast results you could try bodybuilder, which comes for spillers range of supplements.

I've found that Baileys no. 1 and a feed balancer (top spec or blue chip) works best - as the horse is highly strung and nervy you don't want to be giving too much protein that will just increase the nervous enegy. I would also suggest changing from high fi lite to straight high fi or alfa a...

Btw I had an Anglo that I couldn't keep weight on and it was becasue he found the yard too stressful (big yard set around a square with everyone coming and going)... as soon as I moved him the weight piled on so it may just be a case of your horse settling in....
