feed supplements for dogs

First time I've posted in this part of the forum, so just want to say hi and I have two dogs Dingo who is a collieXretriever and Roo who is DingoXretriever.
Dingo is now 8, and due to age and an old injury he gets very stiff. I was wondering if you could get feed supplements for dogs and if so what would you recommend? I give my old horse cod liver oil and MSM - can I get something similar for dogs? Any advice gratefully received.
Also Dingo gets itchy areas that he rubs and licks until it's infected, the vet thinks it's fleas and to use Frontline twice as often, which I do but it hasn't helped. Has anyone come across a similar condition and what did you do to try to prevent it getting really bad? (it only happens in the summer)

i have a couple of friends with older labs that use a dog joint supplement with glucosamine, chondroitin and HA in called Conquer K9 from a company called Kinesis Health that have turned, certainly one of them, around from stiff dog to puppy like movement, she swears by it. think its about £28 for 2 months.
