I feed him 1 medium haynet/3 handfuls of pre-soaked speedibeat/1/2 round scoop of bailys no 4 top line conditioning pellets and one large scoop of pegasus no sugar chaff before going out for 4 hours on poor grazing.

afternoon/evening 2 medium haynets and the same feed as above.

bedded on shavings and ridden for 3 hours week max.

weight seems to be coming on now as he was ribby and he has sloppy food.

he is a part bred arab gelding.

Have exactly the same situation, same age/condition of horse. Similar feeding regime to yours although he is fed on Allen and Page calm and condition, which works for him. I think swapping him to Alfa- A mollases free has put some weight on him also. Am planning on adding some micronised linseed as the weather gets colder and obviously well rugged.

If the weight is slowly coming on your pony, you're obviously getting there. I think part of it is an acceptance that it is going to be very difficult to get a poor do-ing laminitic looking picture perfect, especially coming into winter and with limited exercise. The main thing is that he is healthy and that you are managing the laminitic risks. Not sure if any of that helps!
