Does she need extra hard feed to maintain condition? How much hay/haylage/grass does she get at present? How much time does she spend stabled/in the field each day? What are you feeding her at the moment?
I have the same problem with my horse, she is regularly exercised but still has tonnes of energy. I feed her 1 scoop of hi-fi molasses free, 1 cup of topspec cool balancer (for fizzy horses), magnesium and garlic twice a day. This is a great combination as it's all very low in sugar and starch. I previously fed her alfa oil, pasture mix and molassed sugar beet which she really didn't need and it wasn't helping her fizziness. I wouldn't feed her but all the horses get fed in the morning at the same time and if I didn't leave my horse a feed she would probably jump out of her stable, she is rather good aggressive and would get very stressed. Hope this helps!
are you feeding hay or haylage...my mare gets fizzy if she gets too much haylage so I mainly feed hay and as she has a supplement I feed baileys light chaff and a small amount of fast fibre and that seems to keep the weight on without too much fizziness..hope this helps
It's the time of year for all the fizzy horses to appear!! Depends how much work you're doing with her and what her current condition is but you need to look for low starch feeds. High starch levels will send a lot over the edge! If you need calories and no fizz then go down the added oil route and check the starch levels
