Feeding a yearling

Hi,

Currently feeding my 16month old gypsy vanner on spillers youngstock pellets, on the bag it says for foals and yearlings, should he stay on the youngstock pellets until he is 2 or come off them before that? Friend took her horse off of youngstock when he was 18months old but personally I'm not too sure how long he should continue getting youngstock for.

You could probably change over to Alfa A with Dodson & Horrell Suregrow balancer added.
