I am after some feed advice please. I have an 18 yr old TB. She has not had hard feed in nearly 2 years. Just grass and lots of hay. She is a very good doer. Just been brought back into work after finishing polo 2 years ago. We just hack 3 times a week to keep her ticking over. I am not worried about her weight (she does have a belly, has been regularly wormed also) but she is lacking some topline. Had her teeth checked yesterday and she has a few problems going on also (loose tooth, few missing). She does graze well and eat her hay fine. I was just wondering what the best feed would be for her.

Veteran Vitality might be worth a trial. I use it for a retired 20 yr old, I do not feed it at the amounts advised on the bag though. He looks well on it, with ad lib hay and haylage.

Agree with PaddyMonty, it is not a bad idea to be looking at alternative feeds for if/when the time comes when she doesn't hold her weight so well and/or has trouble eating hay, but until then I would leave well alone. Did your dentist suggest she might need a change of feed?

Due to her being brought back into work and lacking some topline I just wondered if there was any feed that could help her condition. I know this should improve with work also.
